Position Overview The IRA Coordinator of Residential Supports will work collaboratively with Residential Manager of Residential Supports to ensure that members enrolled in these programs comply with OPWDD standards, member and family satisfaction, and billing standards. They must deliver services to our members in a manner consistent with professional standards, the regulations indicated in the Case Manager vendor manual, and the policies of PCCS. Key Responsibilities Advocacy & Commitment: Advocate for the rights, preferences, and needs of individuals across the program, promoting independence, self-determination, and inclusion in accordance with the code of ethics. Lead by example in demonstrating compassion, respect, and commitment, fostering an environment of choice, growth, and person-centered care. Ensure high-quality support and access to resources and opportunities, while guiding the team to adhere to ethical standards and best practices throughout the program. Supervision and Leadership: Provide supervision and leadership to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) by offering guidance, support, and hands‑on training to ensure high-quality care and best practices. Mentor DSPs by leading by example, fostering a positive atmosphere, and maintaining high morale. Set clear expectations, encourage professional growth, and empower DSPs to engage actively with individuals while promoting a culture of respect, open communication, and continuous improvement. Safety and Well‑being: Ensure the safety and well‑being of individuals by responding promptly to concerns, incidents, or emergencies, and proactively maintaining a secure environment. Documentation and Reporting: Complete and submit all documentation, including incident reports and behavior logs, accurately before the end of each shift. Report incidents to the clinical and medical team, and keep management informed of individuals' progress, needs, and concerns through clear communication. Training and Development: Attend all required staff meetings, training, and in-service sessions, while providing regular reviews and ongoing training to DSPs to ensure quality care and professional development. Resource Management: Oversee the purchase and maintenance of household items and supplies, ensuring the residence is well‑stocked and meets the needs of individuals supported. Manage van logs and receipts, ensuring timely submission and review. Community and Financial Support: Assist individuals with making purchases and managing finances to support their personal goals, while planning and scheduling activities, meals, and events that reflect their preferences, needs, and aspirations, fostering independence and meaningful engagement. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all required fire drills are completed and documented in accordance with regulations. Maintain compliance with physical plant requirements and occupancy rights. Report and document incidents in accordance with OPWDD guidelines, promptly notifying the supervisor and relevant parties of any concerns. Medical and Appointments Support: Assist individuals with medical appointments, ensuring all medical encounters are documented, and follow-up appointments are scheduled appropriately. Operational Responsibilities: Oversee day‑to‑day operations by completing daily billing, submitting receipts for community purchases, and managing timekeeping and employee health records. Plan and organize meaningful and successful activities, appointments, and outings, ensuring they align with individual goals. Delegate tasks as needed, and ensure transportation is arranged for appointments, activities, and outings, using the vehicle or public transportation. Team Collaboration: Participate in agency and team meetings, working with natural support and advocates to promote clear communication, collaboration, and alignment with program goals. Perform additional duties assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the residential program. Engagement: Provides direct, billable services tailored to each individual’s goals, addressing coverage or higher-level support needs, while modeling person‑centered practices in collaboration with staff. In‑Person Participation: In‑person participation may be required as part of this role, including attendance at meetings, training, events, and program‑related activities, as needed to support program operations and organizational needs. All other assignments are deemed necessary by supervisor. Job Skills Communication and Collaboration: Builds and maintains relationships with team members and stakeholders. Quality of Service: Supervises service delivery, identifying and addressing gaps to uphold a consistent standard of care for individuals supported. Qualifications Age Requirement: Minimum age of 18. Experience: Experience working with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities required. Educational Qualification: Highschool or GED required. Certifications: SCIP, AMAP, and CPR certification required. On Call: N/A. Driving Requirement: Must maintain a valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and required insurance. Use of a personal vehicle, including transporting individuals supported for events or coverage needs, may be required. Physical Demands: Duties may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and computer use. Staff may also be required to provide direct support to people supported as needed.
