Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, plus holiday rotation (work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)

Highlights:

• Work in a 628-bed academic Level I Trauma Center affiliated with a major university
• Care for complex cardiac surgery patients including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart transplant, ventricular assist devices, and ECMO
• EPIC charting system in use; experience required
• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2+ based on acuity and census
• Part of New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system with Comprehensive Cardiac Center accreditation
• Floating required to all ICUs, PACU ICU holds, ED ICU holds, and Cardiac IMC units within skillset

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience (SICU may be considered if initial training was completed in a CVICU)
• Hands-on experience with fresh post-operative cardiac cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR
• Demonstrated proficiency with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax
• Strong skills in cardiovascular monitoring including FloTrac/Vigileo, dysrhythmia interpretation, temporary pacers, and 12-lead EKG
• Experience with advanced respiratory care including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube insertion/removal, and ABGs
• Competency in IV therapy including vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, central/PICC lines, blood product administration, and continuous sedation/paralytics
• EPIC charting experience required

• Non-billable modules required: approximately 18 hours including EPIC training (4 hours) and annual competencies
