You're an experienced technician with a strong European brand background -- Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Porsche, or similar -- and the diagnostic foundation to transfer your platform expertise to a new badge

You work with precision and consistency, you hold a low comeback rate, and your quality standard doesn't slip under volume or pressure

You're ready for a stable, well-paying flat-rate role in Anchorage where Alaska's demanding conditions make the technical work genuinely challenging and your expertise directly serves a community that depends on it

Mercedes-Benz of Anchorage is part of Swickard Auto Group, a hospitality company in the retail automotive space built on one idea -- be the favorite of our guests, our employees, and our manufacturing partners. We operate 40+ dealerships across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii, and the standard is the same: do right by people, every time.

What you'll do

Diagnose and repair Mercedes-Benz and European vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, advanced electrical, HVAC, and beyond -- using OEM diagnostic tools and procedures

Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization and maintain transparency

Execute repairs to OEM specifications with speed, accuracy, and consistent quality -- no shortcuts, no comebacks

Document all diagnostic findings and completed work accurately on repair orders -- precise records protect the guest, the store, and your professional reputation

Stay current on Mercedes-Benz technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures as you develop platform familiarity

Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return

What we're looking for

2+ years of technician experience on European brand vehicles -- Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Porsche, or similar platforms required

Mercedes-Benz experience a strong plus -- XENTRY/DAS familiarity and MBZ factory certifications reflected in rate

Strong diagnostic foundation with a track record of accurate first-time repairs and a low comeback rate

Comfortable performing a full range of repairs across electrical, mechanical, and drivetrain systems on European platforms

ASE certifications a plus -- not required

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

What we offer

$30 - $45/hr flat rate -- rate reflects your European platform experience, diagnostic depth, and MBZ certifications

Progressive pay plan -- MBZ factory certifications and tenure increase your rate over time

Paid Mercedes-Benz manufacturer training and certification support

401(k) plan

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

Paid time off and paid holidays

Clear career path -- strong technicians grow into senior tech, shop foreman, and service management roles at Swickard
