Middle School Social Studies Teacher

Job Summary

Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for providing instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Studies to middle school students
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons
• Cover curriculum areas such as history, geography, civics, and social sciences
• Assess student learning and maintain required academic records
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Maintain a positive, structured, and faith-centered learning environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or related field
• Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Middle school teaching experience preferred
• Familiarity with Catholic education preferred
