About the Position

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: South Carolina License preferred Certifications: NBSTSA, BLS Must-Have: - Clienttion badge needs to be provided by the parent company - Experience with Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology preferred Description: The position is for an Ambulatory OR CST. Shifts can be 3x12 hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. One late week per four weeks may be required to complete cases. No weekends are required for this position. On-call requirements are not applicable. There is a possibility of floating within the perioperative facility. Block schedule accommodations are subject to the manager's discretion. A radiation badge must be provided by the parent company. Candidates should have experience in various surgical procedures including hysterectomy, appendectomy, and joint replacements. Previous charge experience is preferred. Charting system experience is required, specifically with Epic. This position involves working with adult patient populations. Total joint replacements, joint arthroscopies, and minimally invasive surgeries are typical cases. Special procedures may include laser surgeries and endocrine surgeries among others. There will be opportunities for precepting new team members in the operating room. During emergency situations, all employed clinicians may be assigned to response teams. Candidates must include all requested time-off details during the application process. Documentation requirements must be fulfilled in a timely manner prior to the start date. Completed background checks and labs are necessary for compliance prior to engagement.
