HR Business Partner

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Dover, DE that is seeking an HR Business Partner. This role serves as the senior Human Resources leader, providing both strategic leadership and hands-on operational support across all areas of Human Resources. The ideal candidate thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment and is equally comfortable advising executives on organizational strategy as they are rolling up their sleeves to solve day-to-day HR challenges. This role partners closely with HR Operations, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and practice leadership to build scalable processes, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and support the continued growth.Responsibilities also include:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on organizational structure, workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance management
• Participate in leadership meetings and support board-related HR initiatives as needed
• Develop practical HR strategies, policies, and programs that support organizational growth and business objectives
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships that align people strategies with organizational priorities

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and performance-related issues
• Demonstrated experience leading the full spectrum of Human Resources leadership functions, including employee relations, investigations, compliance, performance management, HR operations, and leadership support, in a lean or growing organization
• Experience supporting global operations
• Experience supporting fast-paced, high-growth organizations with evolving operational needs
• Experience supporting executive leadership in a fast-paced and growing organization
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Nice to Haves:

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
• Technical proficiency with HRIS systems (preferably Rippling)
• Experience partnering closely with executive leadership and supporting board-level initiatives and discussions
• Experience working within private equity-backed or high-growth organizations
• Mergers & acquisitions integration experience
• Experience supporting organizational change management initiatives

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
