Transformation, Functional Excellence & Safety (TFE&S) is seeking a talented individual to join the Hardware (HW) Factory Team as the Standards and Engagement Lead.What You Will Be Doing:In this role, you will be responsible for aligning HW activities and process development to the right external organizations and standards. This involves both ensuring adherence to existing industry specifications and helping to drive early involvement and shaping for new specifications. You will report to the Sr Manager of the HW Factory.Key Responsibilities:Project ManagementMonitor development activities across aligned external organizations and plan Lockheed Martin level support for various working groups, committees, and other engagementsCoordinate with internal stakeholders to identify and align subject matter expertsManage internal budget for cross-business area level engagement and travelOversee engagement rhythm with external organizations Team LeadershipProvide guidance and oversight to internal and external multidisciplinary teams of engineers, data scientists, manufacturing engineers, and domain experts.Build a high performing, collaborative culture focused on results and continuous improvement.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with cross-BA leadership providing progress updates while receiving feedback on challenges and areas of opportunity Interface with the broad operations and engineering community (manufacturing/operations, supply chain, sustainment)Partner with Functional Excellence to align external efforts with internal cross-BA tools, talent, and process scopeTechnical OversightAdvise on alignment and prioritization of external organizations and specifications related to hardware factory activities Provide direct support to select external engagements Why You Should Be Interested:Directly influence engineering productivity across dozens of high visibility programsWork at the intersection of transformational capabilities and broad industry alignment Lead a forward looking team with autonomy, resources, and executive sponsorshipFurther Information About This Opportunity:This role is fully remote but will require some travel (up to 25%) based on business needs and industry engagements. US Citizenship is required due to program requirements.Basic QualificationsDemonstrated ability to work with external standards organizations aligned to hardware development such as ASME, IEEE, IPC, and SAE. Experience with full HW lifecycle Expertise in multiple HW engineering standards and their application within the design and development processProject or program management experienceDemonstrated networking and collaborative skill at an organizational levelUS Citizenship is required due to system accessDesired SkillsDirect engineering design experience in one or more critical hardware components such as circuit card assemblies, cables/wiring harnesses, and machined componentsStrong strategic thinking and business acumen; ability to translate high‑level goals into actionable plans.Familiarity with Lockheed Martin’s OneLM culturePay InformationGeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States.
