Hospital Lab Assistant - Blood Bank

Labcorp seeks a lab assistant for blood bank operations at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information into systems
• Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshoot specimen-related issues
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish bench supplies
• Complete record logs and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years medical, lab, or production experience in hospital setting (preferred)
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Comfort handling biological specimens and identifying them accurately
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking capability
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
