ABOUT YOU

This role provides leadership to the A/P team in matters of day-to-day workflow, monitoring and enforcing compliance to various policies, and performing more complex and advanced A/P tasks.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Senior Accounts Payable Clerk – Onsite, five days a week at the Owatonna Office.

YOU HAVE

Technical skills: general knowledge of PC and software such as Microsoft Office; strong math skills. Attention to detail: manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality; detail oriented and accurate. Great communication skills: respond to inquiries via phone, email or in writing, collaborate with others in a team setting and resolve conflicts. Experience: minimum three years in Accounts Payable environment; familiarity with Oracle A/P system; preferred exposure to Jostens Treasury and finance policies. Education: high school diploma.

YOU WILL

Work onsite – full time. Provide leadership to the AP team primarily in workflow issues, prioritizing and researching issues; provide training and ongoing instruction to AP staff. Process company disbursements, ensure payments are accurate and timely; serve as primary resource for AP processing and policy questions. Generate daily "interim" check runs, alternate weekly check runs, and monthly AP reconciliation; verify check software output. Enter supplier records and expense reimbursements; perform corrections on Oracle import interfaces; account for vendor master file integrity. Oversee administration of corporate credit card applications and Concur expenses; liaise with external provider. Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures for disbursements and record retention; coach and train as necessary. Perform random review of employee reimbursements to ensure compliance with policies, IRS guidelines, and AP department standards. Manage Delegation of Authority requests, escheatment process, including updates and submission of records to Sovos and participating states. Research and resolve problems and issues; communicate with external customers or internal Directors and Managers; research returned checks, record in system, notify originators; handle AP reconciliation, foreign currency wire transfers and void checks; assist with other duties as required by AP Manager.
