As a Security Officer Patrol Services Agent in Arlington, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.12 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM; Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM; Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM; Thu 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM; Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What Youll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a research and academic location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or potential security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations. Prepare clear, timely reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or facility concerns, and relay important information during shift changes to support ongoing site operations. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
