Registered Veterinary Technician

Los Gatos Dog & Cat Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (RVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We are seeking a versatile client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment. Responsibilities Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Assisting in surgery Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service Schedule and Compensation Compensation: $33–36 per hour, for each hour worked. This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and Saturday availability required. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of veterinary technician experience Active and good‑standing Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of California** Proficiency in the following skills: Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery Surgical assistance and aseptic technique Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Radiology positioning and safety protocols Medication administration and accurate drug calculations Laboratory sample collection and in‑house diagnostic testing Client education and communication Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law.
