The Opportunity

We are seeking an experiencedPreconstruction Manager to lead the preconstruction process from project pursuit through the start of construction. This is a highimpact, clientfacing leadership role that plays a critical part in winning work, setting projects up for success, and helping establish Hagermans longterm presence in the Louisville market.

This role is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys strategic thinking, collaboration, mentorship, and being at the table earlywhere smart planning makes all the difference.

What Youll Do

• Lead pursuit strategies, RFP responses, and client interviews
• Own the preconstruction process from concept through handoff to operations
• Oversee design coordination, estimating, procurement strategies, and early trade partner involvement
• Develop conceptual budgets and detailed estimates while tracking cost trends and market conditions
• Collaborate closely with Estimating, Operations, Safety, and Purchasing to align scope, schedules, logistics, and procurement plans
• Provide valueadded input on cost, constructability, and means and methods
• Lead and develop preconstruction team members while ensuring a smooth transition into construction

What Were Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive construction experience, including customerfacing leadership roles
• Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to lead teams and influence outcomes
• Deep understanding of preconstruction, design coordination, and estimating processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with Procore (preferred) and CMiC (preferred)
• Working knowledge of design and engineering disciplines
• Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
