Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) – Texas

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; 36 guaranteed hours per week; rotating weekends (every other weekend)

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment in a well-established Medical Intensive Care Unit within a nationally recognized medical center
• Diverse critical care experience including chest tubes, tracheostomies, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, and advanced monitoring
• Exposure to specialty interventions including IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Electronic medical records system: Meditech
• Collaborative, faith-based healthcare environment with over 50 years of patient-focused care
• No on-call requirements

Requirements:

• Active, compact Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2–3 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• MICU and/or MSICU background preferred
• Previous experience with IABP, CRRT, and Meditech strongly preferred
• Willingness to float to other units as needed per facility policy
