Day & Zimmermann is actively accepting applications for an Estimator. This is a remote work position.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
• Ability to work independently, use problem solving judgement and organize and prioritize assignments,
• Ability to conduct oneself professionally and with diplomacy and maintain confidentiality where necessary
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel and Win Estimator
• Basic knowledge of estimating resources (e.g. reference material)

What You Will Be Doing:

• Provide support and guidance for site Estimating personnel.
• Perform detailed quantity take off's from drawings.
• Develop craft hour productivity rates with minimal information about specific work tasks, through a "crew up process" or by researching past project cost history to enhance the validity of the estimate
• Produced total project (EPC) cost estimates for client to support their allocation or budgets for expenses and capital projects. Determines labor hours and dollars for engineering, procurement, maintenance, modifications and construction activities. Develop material & subcontractor pricing.
• Work with a team of estimators and cost analysts to improve current estimating database, and to develop/enhance tools that will create a dependable estimate.
• Interface with all disciplines supporting proposal and EPCM estimates

What You Need To Bring To The Table:

• Some college or post secondary education preferred or minimum of five years related experience in a construction environment.
• Six plus years experience in related estimating assignments
• Computer proficiency certifications a plus or equivalent education

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $104,000- $156,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
