Location: Jersey City, NJ

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SME Business Analyst Cards & Payments with 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis and strong expertise in the Cards and Payments domain . The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of payment processing and hands-on experience with PAYplus USA/GPP and/or GFX .

The candidate will work independently on complex business problems, provide subject matter expertise, interact with clients and senior stakeholders, and take end-to-end ownership of assigned business processes, products, or project activities.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Cards and Payments business processes and solutions.

Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.

Analyze complex payment-related business problems using multiple sources of information.

Provide functional expertise on PAYplus USA/GPP and/or GFX platforms.

Understand end-to-end card and payment processing workflows and identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.

Work closely with business stakeholders, clients, product teams, technology teams, architects, and QA teams.

Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams.

Lead or support business analysis activities across implementation and transformation projects.

Perform current-state and future-state process analysis, gap analysis, and impact assessment.

Support solution design discussions and provide recommendations based on business requirements.

Facilitate stakeholder discussions, resolve requirement conflicts, and build consensus.

Support testing, UAT, defect clarification, and implementation activities.

Manage assigned BA deliverables, milestones, and ongoing business activities with minimal supervision.

Provide subject matter guidance to project teams and senior stakeholders.

Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs and communicate them effectively to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills

Strong experience in Cards and Payments / Payment Processing .

Proven experience working as a Senior BA, Lead BA, or SME BA .

Strong knowledge of PAYplus USA/GPP and/or GFX .

Understanding of card payment processing and related business processes.

Strong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation skills.
