Guest Experience Lead

Affiliated with  STARR Restaurants ,  Le Diplomate pays sincere homage to French café culture, providing a comfortable, versatile gathering place that's become an anchor for Washington, D.C.'s resurgent 14th Street corridor. Painstakingly built out of a historic structure that harnesses the artful spirit of a Parisian brasserie, the interior and exterior pay subtle tribute to tradition, imbuing every meal with a sweeping sense of European drama. The extensive menu features a variety of Gallic classics, including onion soup gratinée, steak frites and escargots, as well as daily plates such as bouillabaisse and cassoulet. Le Diplomate is seeking a hospitality professional to own the front door at one of the busiest and most recognized restaurants in Washington, DC.

At our volume, the front door is not administrative; it is strategic. We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of that responsibility and elevate it.

What this role really is

As the first and last impression of the restaurant, you will:

• Control the flow of a high-volume dining room
• Set the tone for service every shift
• Recognize and engage returning guests with intention
• Lead the host team with authority and clarity
• Make real-time decisions that impact both guest experience and revenue
