Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a School Social Worker in a supportive elementary school environment. This assignment, situated near Saint Charles, IL, begins as soon as possible and runs through November 4th, 2026, with the potential to extend. You’ll work alongside passionate educators and a dedicated student services team, making a difference in the lives of K-5 students each day.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Previous experience serving as a social worker in a school setting
- A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive school climate
- Strong communication, advocacy, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional support to elementary-age students, individually and in groups
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being and success
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Assist in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and classroom management strategies
- Facilitate connections between families and community resources
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance with school and district policies
This full-time role follows an onsite schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM, Monday through Friday, ensuring you’re engaged in every part of the school day. You’ll become a valuable resource for students requiring extra support, and your expertise will help inspire growth and positive change.
