AR Manager

Position OverviewOrthoMed Anesthesia is seeking a detail-oriented Manager of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to support and optimize the Accounts Receivable operations. This role is responsible for managing the following functions: follow-up on billed claims, additional documentation requests, reconsiderations, denials, and appeals to ensure no claims are lost, payer requests are completed timely and correctly, and effective denial/appeal management.The Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical, IT, and Operational teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. This is a full-time position based at our corporate office in Addison, TX, reporting to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management. The role requires on-site presence during regular business hours.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day RCM operations on post-billed claims through to zero-balanceMonitor and effectively manage team productivity, quality, and overall performanceMonitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for management reviewSupervise and mentor RCM staff members, providing guidance and training as neededCollaborate with other RCM teams, Operations, Credentialing, Compliance, and IT teams to maintain efficient workflowsAssist with denial management and appeals processes to optimize revenue recoverySupport internal audits and staff training initiativesIdentify process improvement opportunities and implement solutionsPerform additional duties as assigned in support of organizational goalsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervise the accounts receivable follow-up, denials, and appeals team, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and day-to-day work directionSet individual and team performance goals, conduct regular check-ins, and deliver coaching, performance reviews, and corrective action as neededBalance workloads and adjust staffing to consistently meet productivity, quality, and turnaround targetsFoster a collaborative, accountable team culture and serve as the escalation point for complex claim, payer, and personnel issuesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum 3 years of RCM experience, preferably in physician-based billingUnderstanding of CPT coding, ASA modifiers, concurrency rules, and time documentationKnowledge of federal compliance standards and CMS regulationsDemonstrated experience in team supervision and performance managementStrong analytical and communication skillsProficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred QualificationsAAPC, HFMA, or CRCR certificationExperience with anesthesia-specific billing platforms (e.g. PhyGeneSys)Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer billing guidelinesKnowledge of No Surprises Act (NSA) and Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) regulationsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsOn-site position based at the OrthoMed Anesthesia corporate office in Addison, TX, during regular business hoursPrimarily an office setting involving extended periods of computer, telephone, and seated workOccasional travel may be required for meetings, training, or payer-related engagementsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the roleWhy Join OrthoMed Anesthesia?At OrthoMed, we are committed to building a forward-thinking anesthesia group rooted in transparency,compliance, and exceptional patient care.
