Contract | Full-Time | Days | 10-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout the assigned shift in the PACU setting
• Prescribe and implement nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and informed by patient and family input
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for accurate and timely clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• PALS certification required within 1 year of hire
• Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire
• EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; charting system must be documented for each work history entry

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility experience
