About Our Client

They work with building owners, tenants, property managers, architects and interior designers who are looking for innovative, cost-effective design solutions for commercial office spaces, retail showrooms, healthcare facilities, and industrial work spaces.

Job Description

1. Cost Estimation : Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

2. Bid Preparation : Develop comprehensive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, timelines, and scope of work, to submit to potential clients or stakeholders.

3. Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information, ensure accurate costing, and address any project-specific requirements.

4. Risk Analysis : Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the project scope or budget, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.

5. Market Research : Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure estimates are competitive and reflect current market conditions.

6. Cost Control : Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, comparing estimates to actual expenses, and making adjustments as needed to maintain profitability.

7. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with project requirements.

The Successful Applicant

• Technical expertise in construction processes, materials, and cost estimation methods.
• Proven experience in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for various types of construction projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure precise cost analysis and avoid errors in estimates.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, identifying potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and material costs.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Comfortable working under pressure and adjusting estimates as needed based on project changes.
• Experience with estimating software and construction management tools.
• Background in project management or a related field is highly valued.
