Position: Academic Support and Tutor (K-5th students)
Type: Contractor
Hours: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday- Thursday
Location: City of Atlanta
Start Date: August 17, 2026
End Date: May 14, 2026
Calendar: Follows Atlanta Public School Calendar (openings/closures)

Job Description: We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide academic support, and enrichment activities for K-5th students. This contractor position involves working closely with students to help them achieve their academic goals through homework help/tutoring services.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with homework.
• Create and maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment.
• Track and report student progress weekly.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
• Collaborate with recreational center staff to assist children.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of core academic subjects (Math, Science, English, Social Studies).
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students succeed.
• Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and student needs.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to the recreational center.
• Must be on time to each shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience or learning environments with children
• Familiarity with the Atlanta Public School curriculum, standards, and schedule.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate.

Application Process:

-Background checks will be required with the Atlanta Police Department.

- Mandator Training will be required and provided for free.
