Associate Vice President for University Communications and Marketing

In this role, the associate vice president will serve as the principal media spokesperson and communications strategist, shaping communication priorities and supporting the institution’s visibility and reputation. The associate vice president will lead media relations and oversee digital and social media, marketing, branding, publications, photography, and internal communications. This leader will be expected to provide exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with strong experience in media relations, crisis communications, integrated marketing, brand management, and team leadership. Qualifications include progressively responsible leadership experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a master’s degree is preferred. Experience in higher education and the greater Philadelphia media market may be beneficial, and familiarity with CRM systems, analytics, marketing technologies, and emerging tools such as AI is preferred.
