Process Engineer - Day Shift

AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca seeks a Process Engineer for its Coppell, Texas manufacturing facility to work 12-hour day shifts. The role involves leading process improvements, designing studies, managing equipment installations, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices in a pharmaceutical production environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, yield, and cost efficiency
Develop conceptual strategies, feasibility studies, and detailed scopes for process projects
Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and author technical reports and proposals
Author, review, and approve procedures and batch records for GMP compliance
Support equipment commissioning activities including FATs, SATs, IQ, OQ, and PQ

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline
1-2 years pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated manufacturing experience
Proficiency reading P&IDs, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with batch reactors, filter dryers, vacuum systems, and heat exchangers
PLC/SCADA or DCS control systems knowledge at operational or engineering level
