This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability. SUMMARY Fulfill the daily operations of the restaurant including guest service, table service, to go orders, and side work. Follow the expectations of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, including, following AHC guest service standards. Create a teamwork environment in the restaurant and produce quality service to each guest. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Set-up/break-down and continual maintenance of line and service stations Attend pre-shift meeting Assist servers in keeping area organized; empty trash containers at service stations as needed Assist servers with food delivery and beverage delivery and refills when necessary Perform table maintenance support, cleaning and re-setting Happily assists other employees in their tasks Perform station opening/closing and sidework duties each shift, and check out with manager Execute timely and courteous service to guests following strict adherence to Ruth's Chris policies and procedures Follow the exact Expo/ Runner Sequence of Service procedures as outlined by Ruth's Chris policy at all times Assure and maintain highest standard of service, sanitation and hospitality Work in clean, sanitary manner keeping service stations clean during shift and thoroughly cleaned and organized for the next shift Perform "in-house" janitorial cleaning at close of business or prior to opening as directed by manager (if applicable) Work closely with store management and other employees to hospitable experience Be properly dressed in uniform and maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout shift Help train new employees and managers using up-to-date policies, procedures and techniques Practice and teach safe/sanitary handling of knife safety and any other equipment used Promote the WELL philosophy Attend all meetings and seminars as directed by Manager REQUIRED SKILLS Must be able to work and communicate well with fellow team members Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Up to 8 hours Must be able to confidently carry a large oval tray with multiple items on the tray up to 50 pounds Must have good communication skills to interact with guests on a fine dining level EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Must have some restaurant experience High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training preferred TiPs certification preferred ServSafe certification preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Is regularly required to stand and walk Is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects Is required to frequently reach with hands and arms Is regularly required to talk or hear; taste or smell Is occasionally required to sit and stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours a day Reach with hands and arms, talk, hear and taste or smell The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus EEO is the Law #J-18808-Ljbffr
