SUMMARY: Responsible for performing echocardiographic studies.

HOURS: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Qualifications Job Duties/ Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Completion from an AMA accredited training program in 2 D, color flow and M Mode echocardiography Register as an echosonographer is required. Registered Echo sonographer Current Basic Life Support (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association certification required.

• Perform echocardiograms and verify completeness of patient examination prior to submission to Cardiologist.
• Maintain diagnostic equipment in good working order and notify Supervisor or Director of any equipment in need of repairs.
• Record inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Distribute and file all reports.
• Demonstrate ability to perform quantitative measurements of data obtained from the on mode tracings.
• Take verbal orders for diagnostic testing from physicians and record orders in chart.
• Utilizes order entry system to access and complete exams.
• Compile echo cardiology reports for physicians. Properly label and organize paperwork and/or tapes, CD for physician review.
