PRIMARY FUNCTION  

The Clinic Clinical Manager provides clinical leadership and operational oversight for clinic nursing and clinical support staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This position coordinates daily clinic workflows, supports compliance with clinic policies and procedures, collaborates with providers and hospital departments, and promotes consistent standards of care across all clinic locations. Under the direction of the Clinic Director and in collaboration with licensed practitioners, the Clinic Clinical Manager supports patient care delivery, staff development, scheduling, clinical process improvement, and resolution of patient care and personnel concerns. This is a full time, 40 hr/wk position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum:

•             Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)  

Preferred:

•             Previous management experience preferred.

•             Certification in management programs such as Medical Group Management Association.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

•             Functions as clinical coordinator utilizing nursing processes to develop and maintain standards of care for all clinics.

•             Works with all hospital departments in assessing, advising and correcting clinical related issues.

•             Creates clinical policies and procedures and ensures compliance for personnel.

•             Works with front office staff to establish standards of care relating to patient scheduling and workflow.

•             Supervises, orients, and mentor’s clinic nursing staff to include clinical assistants, MA’s, LPN’s and RNs in delivery of nursing care services.

•             Responsible for handling patient care and personnel issues that occur during clinic hours and reporting needed concerns to the Clinic Director and or Human Resources.

•             Responsible for appropriate staffing levels for all clinics and approving any changes in scheduled staff along with monitoring / submitting timecards and finding replacement staff.

•             Authorizes nursing staff time off requests and approves timecards in the time and attendance system.

•             Responsible for assisting with HR functions including hiring, terminations, and disciplinary actions.

•             Skilled in the use of the organizations EHR to work as a medical assistant and to work with the Health Information Technologists to maximize the benefits to Melham Clinic processes. 

•             Participates in survey readiness activities, maintains regulatory procedural compliance, and implements best practices by adherence to policy and procedure.

•             Attend required meetings and participates in organizational programs.
