South Port Square is actively seeking a hospitality-driven professional to join our growing team! ABOUT THE ROLE: The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dietary Aide: * Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required. * Serves meals in the health center. * Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal. * Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center. * Transport all required nonfood items to and from the health center. * Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition. * Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code. * Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned. * Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: * Must be 18 years of age or older * Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred. * Can understand measurements and conversions. * Are team players! * Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression. * Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors. * Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
