Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics through standardized testing and observational evaluations.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate goals as well as anticipated communication, cognitive, or swallowing outcomes.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language refinement, fluency enhancement, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to craft comprehensive treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to bolster improvement outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions in care throughout the healing process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that meets all relevant state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to continuous learning by staying abreast of industry advancements through educational opportunities and peer interactions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
