Security Officer Patrol Deterrence Specialist (New York, NY) Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 10:30 PMTue03:00 PM - 10:30 PMWed03:00 PM - 10:30 PMSat03:00 PM - 10:30 PMSun03:00 PM - 10:30 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor customer and team member activity, observe access to restricted areas, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders when needed regarding security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements Loss prevention experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
