Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate position will stock, gather, distribute, assembles orders, and loads various products of the warehouse to fulfill customer orders for pickup and/or delivery.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneEssential Job Functions:Safely move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.Reads customer order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributedLoads and unloads trucksSorts and places items on racks according to predetermined sequenceOperates fork lift truck or hand truck to move or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to warehouse storage or work areaAssembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to shipping departmentStacks lumber in yard or in shedDrives diesel or gasoline powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materialsPerforms other duties as requiredRequired Skills and Abilities:Seeks to learn products and the applicationsKnows product locations in yard and warehouseAbility to read a measuring tapeKeeps forklift cleanMaintain yard cleanliness during course of workSafety Requirements:Wears high visibility, safety PPE, and proper uniformPerforms daily lift inspectionsAlways looks behind/honks horn when backing/rounding blind cornersSafely operates equipmentPromptly report all accidents/incidents and damaged productsPerform daily safety audit of forklift and promptly report any malfunctioning equipmentKeep aisles and exits clearParticipates on safety committee if neededQualifications:EducationExperienceLicenses and CertificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDIn lieu of degree, additional work experience and/or trade school is acceptable.
