Step into a meaningful role supporting high school students as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) for a full-time, temporary assignment. This position offers the opportunity to have a lasting, positive impact on learners by providing specialized instruction in a dynamic high school environment. This contract role runs from December 16 through approximately June 21, following a full-day schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD)
• Experience teaching at the high school level, particularly in special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and tracking
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet a diverse range of learning needs
• Effective classroom management and positive behavior support strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted instruction and support to high school students with disabilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are met
• Track student progress and document outcomes according to school and legal guidelines
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student progress and concerns
• Foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
