Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey TOSD certification (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) required
• High school special education teaching experience preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for empowering students with diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Create engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet student needs
• Provide direct instruction in accordance with students’ IEP goals
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families
• Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school staff meetings
• Support students in both academic and social-emotional growth
