In this full-time, temporary role, you’ll make a significant impact in the lives of students by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The assignment begins December 16 and continues through approximately June 21, offering you the chance to work a consistent, full-day schedule from 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification in New Jersey (TOSD endorsement required)
• Prior experience working with high school students, especially in a special education setting
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and differentiate instruction
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to helping students succeed
• Skilled in collaborating with colleagues, parents, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized lessons in alignment with IEP goals
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Administer assessments and track student progress
• Foster strong relationships with students, supporting both academic and social-emotional growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluations
