Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a public education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. DayTimeWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations to appropriate school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
