Mayco International is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support our Shelby Township manufacturing location. What You’ll Do

As the Human Resources Coordinator, you’ll support day-to-day HR operations while gaining exposure to multiple HR disciplines and contributing to fostering a positive, engaged, and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns
• Support employee relations, policy adherence, recognition programs, training, and development
• Manage recruitment activities including job postings, interviews, hiring, and onboarding
• Coordinate and facilitate smooth onboarding experiences for new hires
• Create, update, and maintain job descriptions
• Track training records and partner with managers to ensure training compliance
• Assist with payroll preparation and time & attendance administration
• Review attendance points and issue disciplinary actions as needed
• Partner with managers on progressive discipline while ensuring consistency and fair investigations
• Administer leaves of absence and ensure timely, accurate documentation
• Maintain organized and accurate personnel files
• Assist with planning and coordinating company events and employee engagement initiatives
• Support safety initiatives including training, accident investigations, and incentive programs
• Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of Human Resources experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
• Working knowledge of basic employment laws
• High level of discretion and confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

• HR experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with ADP payroll and time & attendance systems (or similar)
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 training requirements and recordkeeping
