About the Role

As a Pricing Analyst, you will enable strategic pricing decisions that drive revenue growth, profitability, and value for Caterpillar's aftermarket business. In this role, you will partner closely with Pricing, Product, Sales, Finance, and Commercial teams to analyze pricing opportunities, evaluate business performance, and develop pricing strategies that support enterprise objectives.

You will play an important role in key pricing reviews and special projects involving aftermarket product categories, including Undercarriage, Ground Engaging Tools (GET), Filters, and Fluids. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen, and the ability to transform complex business data into actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable working with large datasets while collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions. This position provides exposure to Product Management, Sales, Finance, Commercial, and Aftermarket leadership while supporting decisions that impact revenue growth and profitability.

What You Will Do

Pricing Strategy & Analysis

• Support strategic and tactical pricing initiatives across Caterpillar's aftermarket portfolio within Undercarriage, Ground Engaging Tools (GET), Filters, and Fluids.
• Participate in key pricing reviews and special projects for aftermarket product categories.
• Analyze pricing performance, profitability, discounts, price realization, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Develop pricing strategies that support revenue growth, profitability, and business objectives.
• Support the execution of approved pricing actions within established governance processes.

Financial & Commercial Analytics

• Analyze economic, competitive, sales, and profitability data to develop business insights and recommendations.
• Evaluate revenue performance and pricing effectiveness across products, markets, and customer segments.
• Support scenario analysis and business case development related to pricing initiatives.
• Translate complex business and financial information into actionable insights.

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Utilize SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel capabilities to analyze data and support pricing decisions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide visibility into pricing performance and business outcomes.
• Transform large and complex datasets into meaningful recommendations for stakeholders.
• Support ongoing reporting and analytics that improve decision-making and forecasting.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with Pricing Consultants, Product, Sales, Finance, and Commercial team stakeholders to support key business decisions.
• Build strong working relationships across multiple business functions.
• Present recommendations, findings, and business insights in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure pricing decisions reflect both financial and commercial considerations.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
• Support automation and digital initiatives that improve pricing effectiveness and efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of best practices in pricing analytics and business intelligence.

What You Have

Data Gathering & Analysis

• Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support business decision-making.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within complex business environments.

Financial & Commercial Acumen

• Understanding of pricing, commercial strategy, financial analysis, revenue management, or business analytics concepts.
• Ability to evaluate business performance and understand the drivers behind revenue, profitability, and customer value.
• Strong business judgment and data-driven decision-making skills.

Technical & Analytical Tools

• Demonstrated ability to utilize:
• SQL
• Power BI
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Ability to create reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions that support business decisions.
• Experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insights.

Communication & Collaboration

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
• Ability to influence decisions through data and business insights.

Relationship Management

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience supporting pricing and financial analysis, business analytics, or commercial strategy initiatives.
• Prior experience in a pricing-focused role.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar products, aftermarket components, or merchandising programs.
• Experience utilizing SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel capabilities to drive business insights.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business results through analytics and strategic recommendations.
• Experience supporting revenue growth and profitability initiatives.
• Strong initiative, adaptability, and results-oriented mindset.

Work Arrangement: Onsite, 5 days per week

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
