Accounting Manager - SEC Reporting

Manager, Financial Reporting opportunity with a well-established, publicly traded global company headquartered in Oak Brook, IL. The role sits within Corporate Controllership and offers a strong blend of SEC reporting, technical accounting, accounting policy, leadership and cross-functional exposure. Why consider it? Visibility to Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, Legal and senior finance leadership Financially sound and growing global company with bright outlook Track record of promoting from within - this is open due to a promotion Manage and develop a team Snapshot of responsibilities: Key role in the preparation and review of 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K filings Broad technical accounting exposure, including share-based compensation, EPS, debt, hedging, leases and other complex accounting matters Partner closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, Legal and senior finance leadership Involvement in earnings materials, accounting policy and implementation of new GAAP and SEC requirements Manage and a team while maintaining hands-on involvement in key reporting initiatives Opportunity to drive process improvements and take on business-critical projects What we’re looking for: 5+ years of progressive accounting/financial reporting experience CPA required Public accounting experience strongly preferred SEC reporting experience, including 10-K and 10-Q filings Strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge Leadership and team development experience Workiva and/or OneStream experience is a plus This could be a strong next step for a Big 4 Manager or other large public accounting Manager looking to transition into industry, or someone currently in SEC reporting who is ready for broader responsibility and leadership exposure.
