Job Description Registered Behavior Technician/BCBA in-training - Encino, CA. Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Pay Rate: $28.00 – $31.00 depending on ABA experience, education and certification. Company: The Nest LA. The Nest LA is a unique, community‑driven, multi‑disciplinary center in Studio City, Los Angeles. Using ACT and ABA as primary treatment approaches, the agency provides expert guidance and instruction in parent coaching, social skills coaching/groups, and immersive art classes on‑site, and offers 1:1 support to children ages 0‑6 in their homes and classroom/daytime care settings. The goal is to provide consistency in staff’s work schedule, focusing on day‑care and school settings. Responsibilities Report directly to the Clinical Director. Set and achieve performance goals with client, client guardian, and treatment team. Assist with training of new staff. Participate in initial and ongoing client assessments, and design and maintain high‑quality treatment programs based on those assessments. Oversee and maintain accurate, organized client notes, data, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Train clients’ guardians and family members on treatment techniques; maintain positive working relationships with clients’ families. Monitor programs in the field and/or clinic. Provide direct supervision and parent consultation for families. Write progress reports. Lead and mentor team members as directed by the Clinical Director. Job Requirements Demonstrated knowledge of ABA treatment techniques and treatment program designs for children of varying skill levels. M.A./M.S. in a related field is a plus. Bilingual is a plus. Excellent people skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent administrative skills. Strong clinical insight and critical thinking skills. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and driver’s insurance. Provision of skills training services and/or behavioral therapy to children, adolescents, adults and their families. Must have or obtain RBT certification within 60 days of employment. Physical Demands Full physical dexterity and agility or the ability to independently position self and perform all required movements (bending, kneeling, computer typing, standing, fetching documents from file cabinets). Corrected or uncorrected vision sufficient to carry out all duties and responsibilities. Ability to lift and carry pediatric population (weight ranging from 5 to 50 lbs.).
