- Perform thorough patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic assessments, and develop personalized care strategies
- Identify and manage acute, episodic, or chronic health issues either independently or in collaboration with physicians (based on credentials)
- Provide education to patients and families on prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments within your scope of practice
- Engage in patient follow-ups and manage chronic healthcare needs
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner certification in the state of Idaho
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C through AANP or ANCC) or related specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
- A strong clinical skill set coupled with a nurturing approach to patient care
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Adaptability within fast-paced, patient-focused environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort in utilizing telehealth technology
