Maintenance Manager

As a Maintenance Manager with Liberty Packaging, you will lead and develop a maintenance team in day‑to‑day operations. Responsibilities include coaching employees, organizing workflow, and analyzing efficiency. You are accountable for achieving safe maintenance results in alignment with company values and objectives. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is located at the Phoenix, AZ manufacturing facility. Duties and Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day operations by leading maintenance teams, ensuring safety compliance, preventative maintenance, storeroom accuracy, budget, and inspection compliance. Lead safety programs, conduct safety huddles, and recognize safety accomplishments. Support site safety investigations and maintain a safe work environment. Coach employees, conduct reviews, keep timekeeping records, and reinforce company culture. Plan labor use through scheduling and overtime recommendations. Drive continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives, monitor goals, and facilitate teamwork. Mentor staff, deliver training, provide feedback, and develop high‑potential employees. Escalate issues to leadership and minimize impact on customers. Collaborate across manufacturing floor teams for smooth operations. Promote safety, environmental, community meetings, and special projects. Collaborate with internal and external contractors. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience and Skills High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility (or equivalent). 3+ years of supervisory or team‑lead experience. 5+ years of expertise with hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler systems, electrical systems, schematic reading, and PLC diagnostics. Understanding of CMMS software. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as required. Compensation and Benefits The starting base salary range is $110,000 – $137,500 per year, with potential bonuses. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills Bachelor's degree in Business/Operations Management, Engineering, or related field. Bilingual English/Spanish. Active boiler’s license. Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Experience with Amtech and CTI. Strong process and business acumen. Demonstrated leadership and conflict‑management skills. Relationship‑building skills across all levels. Attention to detail and equipment knowledge. Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds. Work in hot, humid, cold, and dusty environments. Operate in crowded spaces and heights for 4+ hours per shift. Bend and stoop for 7+ hours per shift. Stand for 6+ hours per shift. Walk for 6+ hours per shift. Reach and grasp for up to 6+ hours per shift. Regular sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day. Use manual and finger dexterity with repetitive motions. Work in front of a computer screen for extended periods. Vision: close and distance vision, color discrimination, hand/eye coordination, depth perception, focus adjustment. Hearing and speaking. Other relevant conditions may include frequent reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, pinching, grasping, and gripping.
