E-commerce Copywriter & Content Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented, high-energy E-commerce Copywriter & Content Specialist to join our marketing team for full-time at our Wheeling, IL office. In this role, you will be the voice of our brands, responsible for crafting compelling product descriptions that drive conversions and writing high-quality, SEO-optimized blog content that engages our community.

The ideal candidate possesses a rare blend of impeccable grammatical precision and a distinct flair for creative writing . You know how to research product details and specs, translate complex product features into lifestyle benefits, turning casual browsers into loyal customers.

Important Notes: You will need to provide a portfolio of work to be considered for this position. This is a 100% onsite position in our Wheeling, IL office.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Copywriting: Write clear, persuasive, and accurate product descriptions, bullet points, and tech specs for our e-commerce sites and online marketplaces.
• Blog & Article Creation: Conceptualize, research, and write engaging weekly blog posts that provide value to our audience, build brand authority, and improve organic search rankings.
• SEO Optimization: Seamlessly integrate keywords into product text and blog content to maximize search engine visibility without sacrificing readability or creative flow.
• Brand Consistency: Maintain and adapt to distinct brand voices across different product lines and demographics.
• Proofreading & Editing: Review all digital content for flawless grammar, punctuation, and alignment with brand guidelines before publication.
• Collaboration: Partner with our digital marketing, SEO, social media, and product management teams to align content with upcoming product launches and promotional campaigns.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 2+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in-house for an e-commerce brand or at a digital marketing agency.
• Writing Style: Exceptional creative writing skills with the ability to write evocative, narrative-driven content as well as punchy, conversion-focused sales copy.
• Grammar & Editing: Mastery of the English language with razor-sharp attention to detail. Grammatical errors break your heart just a little bit.
• SEO Knowledge: Solid understanding of on-page SEO principles, keyword placement, and how content drives search rankings.
• Technical Savvy: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and content management systems is a major plus.
• Workspace Requirements: This is a 100% in-office, full-time position . Candidates must be reliable, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
