Lead AWS Data EngineerContract-to-hire100% RemoteProfile Summary:Lead Data and Analytics Engineer will be a senior member of data and analytics engineering chapter. This is a hands-on technology engineering leadership role focused on building AWS data & analytics engineering capability in an agile environment with advance level expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies and will be instrumental in building NextGen data analytics engineering muscles across the organization. This role will include mentoring talent and creating capabilities supporting data analytics engineering functions across agile squads and crews within the company. Partner closely with the Data and Analytics Engineering Chapter Lead, Data Architects, Chief IT Architect, and business areas squads to provide business capabilities, assess capabilities needed and provide data engineering solution options using NextGen data technologies in an AWS Cloud environment to our agile crews.Profile Responsibilities:Develop and institutionalize a pragmatic and actionable enterprise scale data and analytics framework using NextGen data technologies in an AWS Cloud environment that enables buildout of data solutions from ground up across various layers to solve business problemsDefine a pragmatic and actionable enterprise strategy for data management technologies and tools for Data integration, Data API Services, Reporting, Visualization, Business Intelligence, by understanding user needs / pain points and ensuring usability across various stakeholders.Participate in talent strategy and build technology capabilities in Data and Analytics Engineering Chapter.Passionate for staying up to date on continuously evolving AWS Cloud services and technologies in AWS Data & Analytics engineering space.Lives and breathes agile ways of working at every step of the solution development and establish high degree of autonomy while delivering key results.Mission driven to help technology pillar of RLUS strategy to become a data-driven, AI-enabled company obsessed with improving customer outcomesTechnical & Functional Skills:A hands-on technical leader with expert level skills in ground-up AWS data & analytics platform developmentStrong background and experience in AWS Data Analytics technologies with demonstrated accomplishments and certifications i.e., an unexpired AWS Solutions Architect Associate and AWS Data Analytics Specialty (Certificate validation is required)Expert level knowledge and understanding of the Enterprise Data Architecture and modern Cloud based data & analytics technologiesGood understanding of the Software Engineering, Data Modelling, Automation Technologies, Test Driven Development, and Agile Ways of WorkingDemonstrated experience building and running full AWS data analytics platform for end-to-end data & analytics platforms fulfilling the needs of operational to advance analytics use casesDemonstrated ability to organize delivery in a highly matrixed environment with heavy reliance on vendors and in cross functional Agile squad structuresLife & Annuity insurance and/or Financial Services experience is a PlusNon-Technical Requirements:We are a mission driven truly agile & learning organization and looking for team members who live and breathe our guiding principles as belowDo the right thingObsess about our customersChampion diversity and inclusionLead with resolutionThink on our feetMake it clearEducation Required:Bachelor’s in computer science or related fieldExperience Required10+ years of professional experience in technology of which at least 3-5 years is in AWS data & analytics technology hands on roles leading, coaching and mentoring high performing data and analytics engineers.
