Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Data Ingestion Engineer with 6+ years of experience in building scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data integration solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in AWS Glue, Apache Spark, Python, SQL, and Snowflake. This is a remote opportunity with immediate onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT and data ingestion pipelines
Develop data processing workflows using AWS Glue and Apache Spark
Write efficient and optimized code using Python and SQL
Implement and manage data warehousing solutions in Snowflake
Build robust batch and near real-time data integration solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements
Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security standards
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance of existing pipelines
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and support activities
Maintain technical documentation and follow engineering best practices
Required Skills
6+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Ingestion
Strong hands-on expertise in:
AWS Glue
Apache Spark
Python
SQL
Snowflake
Strong understanding of cloud-native data engineering concepts
Experience working with large datasets and distributed processing systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and remote collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS data lake and analytics services
Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow
Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
