OTR (Off-The-Road) Tire Road Service TechnicianBest One Tire & Service/S&S Firestone, Inc. is a leading provider of products and services to trucking companies and related industries, serving the Nashville, TN area markets. We are looking to add an OTR (Off-The-Road) Tire Road Service Technician to our team.Within this role you will be responsible for all aspects of tire and related service and repair for off-the-road equipment (construction, earthmoving, mining, farm, etc.) as well as other duties as assigned by the manager.Key Responsibilities:Must have a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements.Operation of a 55,000-pound OTR Service Boom Truck.Follow established procedures to inspect tires and wheels before and after service.Determine repairable tire conditions and make such repairs.Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors.Document work performed accurately and according to company policy.Operation of heavy-duty tire service equipment and tools including boom cranes, cribbing, jacks, compressors, and electric and hydraulic equipment.Unbolt and re-bolt wheels from/to equipment, using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.Mount and dismount any type of off-the-road tire including but not limited to multi-piece rims.Match mating of dual assemblies.Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size, ply, and load requirement.Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects.Perform service calls on nights and/or weekends on a rotating basis.Proper maintenance of assigned service vehicles including an appearance as well as onboard service equipment and tools.Compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.We offer:Competitive wages up to $38.00/hour, depending on experience, and monthly labor bonusFull-time, permanent position, with weekly pay, and overtimeHealth Benefits: Medical, Dental Vision, Life insurance and moreCell phone reimbursementHealth Savings Account (HSA)Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays401(k) Retirement Planning with company matchAn Equal Opportunity EmployerDrug-Free WorkplaceRequirements:A high school diploma or equivalency, and/or related experience is preferred but not required.OTR service training and certifications are preferred but not required.Minimum, driving age of 23 years old.Must regularly lift up to 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses repair, and maintenance.Ability to recognize and used a variety of tools, including but not limited to power tools, and heavy-duty tire service equipment.Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, and commercial vehicles.Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.About S&S Tire: S&S Firestone, Inc., headquartered in Lexington, KY, has grown to become one of the largest independent tire dealerships in the country.
