Sr. Data Science Analyst

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join our System Strategy Team in the role of Sr. Data Science Analyst. We are looking for a highly technical, experienced data professional who serves as a subject matter expert and strategic partner across the organization. In this role, you will lead complex analytics initiatives, mentor junior team members, and deliver insights that inform clinical and operational decisionmaking. You will work closely with leadership and stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable strategies that improve performance and patient outcomes.

• Reports to: Director-Strategic Intelligence and Market Insights
• Direct reports: None
• Shift: Full-time, hybrid schedule
• Location: Indianapolis, IN

The Scope:

• Building dashboards and delivering advanced reporting solutions for clinical and operational stakeholders
• Conducting strategic analyses to solve complex business problems
• Integrating and synthesizing data from multiple sources into meaningful insights
• Partnering with stakeholders and leadership to identify opportunities and drive decisionmaking
• Leading and supporting complex, technical projects with minimal oversight
• Mentoring and guiding junior analysts to elevate team capability

Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s preferred
• Expert level MS Excel, MS SQL Server, and MS SSRS skills
• Ability to lead teams through complex, technical projects
• 7-10 years of experience required
• Demonstrated experience in the healthcare industry required
• Significant experience using Tableau, QlikView, Business Objects, Power BI, or other BI tools required
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices strongly preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare claims and billing process preferred
• Knowledge of Indiana healthcare provider landscape preferred
