Project Manager - Building Design

Project Manager - Building Design (Charlotte or Raleigh, NC) HDR is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Building Design to join the Building Engineering Services Business Group. The role supports client development, manages design teams through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases, and delivers projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities Function as Project Manager and be responsible for executing projects and managing/developing multidiscipline teams, utilizing HDR's business systems and project management tools. Build team technical expertise and design production capacity through recruitment, staff development, and training. May have the opportunity to lead and mentor other staff. Participate in leadership for external marketing and planning. Some regional or national travel is expected. Perform contract preparation and negotiation, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and project quality control. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field 7 years related experience Minimum of 2 years project management experience Excellent organizational, project management, and communication (both written and verbal) skills Ability to interact with various design teams Commitment to being an active participant in our employee‑owned culture Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering 10 years related experience 5 years project management experience PE license preferred for local candidates Microsoft Office Suite experience Excellent leadership and planning skills and ability to thrive in a team environment Strong skills in preparing client presentations, project memoranda, and reports #J-18808-Ljbffr HDR, Inc.
