Design Engineer, Turboshaft Integration

What you’ll do: Own the integration of the turboshaft into the aircraft Manage mechanical interfaces Oversee smooth operation of the turboshaft with its interfaces Oversee correct operation of the turboshaft in its operating environment Manage fuel, oil, exhaust, thermal and all other systems integrations Define pass criteria and testing conditions for performance verification Optimize installation for mass, performance, maintainability and safety What you’ll need: BS / MS / PhD in a related scientific or engineering field. 8+ years experience in complex systems integration Strong fundamentals and demonstrated understanding of complex system integration Experience with Siemens NX and suite of tools A systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex, technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders. Extremely self‑motived with the ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and documents. Nice to have: Experience with Turboshaft system integration Experience with turbogenerator design principles Experience with MATLAB, Simulink for control logic and numerical propulsion system simulation and performance modelling Experience with computational fluid dynamics and analysis Prior experience with hybrid‑electric aircraft, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains. Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty quantification methods. We drive a pay‑for‑performance culture and reward performance that support the Company's strategy. For this position, we are targeting a base pay range of $172,000 - $216,000 . Actual compensation offered will be determined by job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
