Dental Hygienist
Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our Alamosa Dental Clinic in Alamosa, CO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch dental care to our patients, conducting cleanings, screenings, and educating them on proper oral hygiene practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oral prophylaxis
- Provide instruction for proper home care techniques for oral hygiene including proper tooth brushing, flossing, nutrition and need for professional care
- Topical fluorides
- Screens and evaluate patients regarding caries detection
- Periodontal pathology, medical history
- Exposing, processing and mounting of radiographs, following ALARA guidelines
- Supra- and subhingival scaling and curettage
- Procedures involving team periodontal surgical techniques
- Administration of local anesthetics
- Gross de-bridement in treatment of acute periodontal conditions
- Help train dental employees, teaching basic dental skills, radiographs, sterilization and how to assist the doctors
- Maintains patient recall system
- Maintains inventory of hygiene supplies and materials, as well as maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of inventory

Salary Range: $83,476.23 - $104,345.29

Education and Requirements: State of Colorado Licensure of Dental Hygiene Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene 1-2 years' experience working in a dental clinic environment desired Successfully complete a background check and drug testing Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) desirable but not required
