Job Summary

The Costing Project Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Costing Team by managing costing sheets, ensuring timely routing and tracking, and delivering accurate cost reporting and analysis. This role combines strong analytical skills with a project management mindset to coordinate costing activities across cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement in costing processes.

This is what you will do:

• Costing Sheet Management
  • Prepare, distribute, and track costing sheets to ensure all required data is routed accurately to cross-functional teams (Production, Procurement, Sales, etc.)
  • Follow-up regularly to ensure timely completion of costing sheets and escalate delays as needed.

• Project Management
  • Coordinate and manage multiple costing projects simultaneously, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Act as liaison between departments, ensuring alignment on project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Utilize the project tracking tools to monitor progress, resolve issues, and drive accountability across stakeholders.

• Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and present regular cost and project status reports to senior management, providing insights on Costing Sheet Route Timing, CM%, and project health.
  • Use data analysis to identify trends, gaps, or opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.

• Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that all relevant costs are captured and accurately reported.
  • Communicate project updates, priorities, and blockers clearly to team members and leadership.

• Operational Support
  • Maintain up-to-date costing sheet information and ensure systems reflect current project statuses.
  • Ensure all documentation and costing data meet internal quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the costing and project teams.

• Communicate effectively with others.
• Maintain a good attendance record.
• Perform work onsite.

This is what you will need:

• Bachelor's degree

• 5 years of experience with costing, planning, or project management.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools (i.e., Smartsheet, ASANA, MS Project) is a plus.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.

• Ability to work on-site.

• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
