Locals are accepted. The candidate must possess a valid nursing license. Nurses will work a full 12-hour shift on their first day of orientation and should come prepared in scrubs. The traveler will be responsible for coordinating with peers to ensure coverage. All requested time off must be included in the initial submission and cannot be submitted afterward. The assessment on the first day of orientation includes interpreting cardiac rhythms essential for patient care. If the initial assessment is not passed, remedial training will be provided. Nurses are responsible for independently measuring telemetry strips and accurately interpreting cardiac rhythms for all telemetry patients. This position requires skills in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and proficiency in critical care procedures.
